The Green House Affect

Light has returned to the surface of the waters upon the earth, the earth has begun to spin, and now God is going to create an environment that is perfect for the creations He is about to make.

And Elohim said, "Let there be an expansion (firmament) between the waters and let it separate between the waters from the waters." and Elohim made the expansion (firmament) and He caused a separation between the waters which under the expansion and between the waters which were above the expansion. and it was good, Genesis 1:6,7.

The division between the waters is very interesting. God has, in essence, just created a very large green house, over the entire earth. This green house affect is going to cause the entire earth to warm to a fairly comfortable temperature for humans and animals. We see evidence of a warm earth even today, under many layers of ice, where animals have been found with green vegetation still in their mouths. The Berezovka Mammoth is one example of an animal that was instantly frozen, and the content of his stomach provides evidence that his environment was warm and full of vegetation.

(I am going to add more evidence of the ice dome in this section after further study.)

God called the firmament, or expansion, between the earth and the stars heaven. This is what is known to us as the sky, or first heaven. Although the ice dome no longer exists, we still have a separation from our atmosphere and space. (What happened to this ice dome will be discussed in chapters 6 and 7.) This layer, which we know as the ozone layer, offers some protection from the sun and other objects that may collide with the earth; however, it does not retain the heat from the sun like the ice dome did. Therefore, we live in a world that is not like the world of Adam and Eve's time. Our world has large temperature shifts. Their world stayed within a moderate temperature all the time. As we continue through the book of Genesis, keeping the environment in mind will help us understand life at this time in man's history.

and the second day came to an end...

The Renovation of the Earth

We are not told in Scripture how long the earth was under water after the judgment of Lucifer. Nor are we told the actual age of the earth. Lucifer's throne was upon the earth before his fall. The earth could be very old; however, we do know that physical life did not exist on the earth until about six thousand years ago. The creation story found in Genesis chapter one, is a story of the creation of mankind, birds, beasts of the field, fish, and the renovation of the earth. Physical life was not upon the earth before God renovates the earth. Lucifer did not rule on an earth that had dinosaurs on it. We know this because it was man that brought death into the world. In Genesis 1:2 the earth is flooded and nothing lives on it. Since man brought death into the world, no physical life could have existed before the flood. Romans 5:12 "Because of this, just as through one man the sin nature entered the world and through the sin nature, the death. And thus unto all man the death passed on..."

in just a few verse in Genesis, we have gone from the creation of the universe, through the judgment of Lucifer, to the Spirit of God is brooding over the earth because of the judgment placed upon it. Now God returns to the earth to begin renovation...

"And Elohim said "let there be light", and there was light," Genesis 1:3.

This is not the creation of the sun. Remember, the darkness in verse two was upon the deep. The water upon the surface of the earth was not allowing light to penetrate. When God said, "let there be light," the sun already existed. The earth was covered with water, not ice; therefore, there had to be a source of heat already created. The creation of the universe had already happened, Job 38:7. (Spirit beings were created before the universe. They witnessed the creation of the universe. Lucifer's throne was in Eden prior to Adam and Eve and the renovation of the earth, Ezekiel 28:13.) God is not creating the earth, the sun, the moon, or the stars, He already created them. Rather, God is now permitting light to return to the face of the earth.

"And Elohim saw the light for it was good. And Elohim caused a division between the light and between the darkness. And Elohim called the light day and He previously called the darkness night. And it was morning and it was evening. Day one." Genesis 1:4,5

The earth begins to spin; day and night are divided. Since time is determined by the spin of the earth and its rotation around the sun, by causing the earth to rotate, time can now be divided into days, hours, minutes, and seconds. However, a day in Genesis is not necessarily a twenty-four hour period of time as we know a day to be today. There is no indication of the actually hours in the day at this time. It would be proper to consider the days in Genesis as solar days, rather than twenty-four hours days. What is the difference? As the earth begins to spin, it is naturally going to start out slower and gradually increase until it is spinning at full speed. As we go on in the account of Genesis, we will see that God causes a canopy of ice to cover the earth. This canopy protects the earth from the sun's harmful rays and turns it into a green house. At what speed the earth was required to spin to support physical life with this canopy is not specifically known; however, I am not saying that the earth was not renovated in six days, but rather that it was not days as we know them, they no doubt averaged a slightly longer period of time.

A change in the rotation of the earth is not a foreign concept in Scripture. God has cause the rotation of the earth to stop, Joshua 10:13, and will speed up the rotation of the earth during the great tribulation, Matthew 24:22.

If you have ever wondered why the day is called day, and the night is called night, God was the one that named them. It is interesting to note that until the Genesis account, God had not named the light upon the earth. Genesis chapter one verse five states that God had previously called the darkness night, but the light He called day. Lucifer no doubt shined very brightly and was the major source of light upon the earth when his throne was here. After judgement, all light was removed from the face of the earth. Now, in the Genesis account, the main source of light for the earth is the light coming from the sun. God calls this light day.

Day one has now come to an end...

Before the Creation of the Universe

Before we get into the renovation of the earth, I am going to go ahead and look into what happened between verses one and two of Genesis chapter 1. I was going to save this until the serpent deceives Eve; however, since we are on the subject, we will go ahead and discuss it.

God was not the only one who saw the creation of the universe. The Spirit beings also witnessed creation. Job 38:7 "When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted." The Hebrew word used for the stars "shouting" is often used for singing. Although it is not so much the singing of a song, but rather crying out, it still refers to a sound being made that is different from a sharp shout. The sons of God shouted when they saw the creation of the morning stars. The morning stars singing is especially interesting because it is known that planets and stars have their own frequency of sound that they emit.

In the context of the chapter, God is speaking with Job about the creation of the earth and the stars. As you can see from Job 38:7, the sons of God witness the creation of the stars.

Who are the sons of God? In the beginning of the book of Job, the sons of God are shown to be spirit beings that present themselves before God, Job 1:6. Because Satan is with those who present themselves before God, we know that the term "sons of God " may be used for more then just angels, it may also included other spirit beings. (Satan is not an angel, he is a cherub.)

The universe was originally created as a place for the spirit beings to reside. Earth was created for Lucifer's throne. Adam and Eve were placed in a garden in Eden. Ezekiel 28:12-19 reveal that Satan was ruling from Eden, which had to be prior to the creation of man.

Ezekiel 28:12-19 "Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord God, "You had the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The ruby, the topaz, and the diamond; The beryl, the onyx, and the jasper; The lapis lazuli, the turquoise, and the emerald; And the gold, the workmanship of your tambourine and pipes, Was in you. On the day that you were created They were prepared. 14 You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 You were blameless in your ways From the day you were created, Until unrighteousness was found in you. 16 By the abundance of your trade You were internally filled with violence, And you sinned; Therefore I have cast you as profane From the mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the stones of fire. 17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings, That they may see you. 18 By the multitude of your iniquities, In the unrighteousness of your trade, You profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you; It has consumed you, And I have turned you to ashes on the earth In the eyes of all who see you. 19 All who know you among the peoples Are appalled at you; You have become terrified, And you will be no more."

When God created Lucifer, Lucifer was complete. He was full of wisdom and complete in beauty. Within Lucifer was a natural musical ability, "the workmanship of your tambourine and pipes, Was in you.", and he was blameless in (his) ways From the day (he)were created. Lucifer is a cherub. A cherub is a spirit being that is greater than seraphim and angels. Lucifer was the pinnacle of God creations; he was the greatest of all creation. He was anointed by the Holy Spirit and ruled in God's government over all creation.

The term "the mountain of God" is used for the government that God setup when He created spirit beings. The v shape of a mountain depicts the levels of government, from the top to the bottom. Lucifer was at the top, then the other cherubim, then the seraphim, then the angels.

Lucifer's fall brought about the destruction of the earth, which was where his throne resided. In Genesis 1:2, we find an earth that has been judged and as a result, is covered with water. Remember, the earth was created to be inhabited, not void and without form, Isaiah 45:18.

Now God is going to begin something new...

Genesis - Creation

Is Genesis the beginning of creation? Did God really created the the entire universe in just six days? Is Genesis a trustworthy account? The best way to answer these questions is to go to the text.

What is the beginning of Genesis 1:1? "in a beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." Most translations of Genesis start out with, "In the beginning God created..." The Hebrew is not so specific, "In a beginning God created..." God is not saying this is the beginning of all things, but rather the beginning of the universe. In a quality of a beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. From the beginning of the book of Genesis, in the original language, we see that it is referring not only to the creation of the universe, but also the creation of man and the renovation of the earth.

There are three heavens: the firmament (sky), the starry spaces, and the place were God's throne sits. (Genesis 1:8 "and God called the firmament the heaven..." 2 Corinthians 12:2 shows two heavens. "I intuitively knew a man in Christ from fourteen years ago, whether in the body or whether out of the body, I do not intuitively know. God intuitively knows, this one was seized up to the edge of the third heaven." The word translated "up to" in most translations is a Greek word that means up to but not beyond. Paul did not enter the third heaven, this is the man Paul is referring to here, rather he was taken up to the edge of the third heaven. )
Although God created many planets, earth was specifically created to be inhabited, Isaiah 45:18 "For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else."

Genesis is not taking us back to the beginning of all creation, rather it is taking us back to a beginning. A point in time that has the quality of a beginning. The beginning that Genesis 1:1 is referring to is the beginning in which the heavens and the earth was created. Prior to this beginning, God had created the spirit beings. We know this because the spirit beings witnessed the creation of the universe, Job 38:7. How do we know that Genesis 1:1 takes us back to the creation of the universe? The Hebrew word for "create" in this passage means to create out of nothing. God created the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1:1 when there was nothing.

The book of Genesis now skips through time to the creation of mankind and the renovation of the earth. The amount of time passed over is unknown, but we do know from other Scripture that is was a time when Lucifer ruled from the earth over the entire universe. (Ezekiel 28:14-19 this is prior to Lucifer's fall.) The earth was created, in Genesis 1:1, to be inhabited, but now in Genesis 1:2 we find the earth without form and void, and darkness upon the face of the earth. Lucifer's fall brought about judgment upon the place of his throne, which is why the earth is found to be under water in Genesis 1:2.

Now God has returned to the earth and He begins to renovate it....
